Rare collector item: Official program booklet for Nina Ricci Haute Couture Spring-Summer 1998 show
A superb piece of Paris fashion history!
This is the official presentation booklet (show program/invitation) for Nina Ricci’s Spring-Summer 1998 Haute Couture collection, presented in January 1998 in Paris. It is one of the last collections entirely signed by the legendary Gérard Pipart, artistic director of the house from 1964 to 1998.
Key features:
- Ivory laid paper cover with white embossed relief (classic allegorical motif: nude female figures around a central scene with waves at the bottom – very typical of Nina Ricci invitations from that era).
- Inside with a poetic introductory text ("Air du Temps", references to light youth, field flowers, influences from Kenya/China, etc.).
- Complete list of models (show numbers, detailed fabric descriptions: mousseline, satin, organdy, twill, crepe, etc., and colors).
- Thanks to partners (Pommery, Bruno Tric, etc.).
- 3 beautiful original show sketches drawn and hand-signed by Gérard Pipart (stylized signature "G. Pipart" visible on each drawing, with the artist’s characteristic fluid and elegant style).
- Format 30x22 cm, staple binding or gray linen spine, good overall condition: clean pages, no tears, relief well defined, high-quality paper.
- A rare ephemeral item distributed only to VIP guests, press, buyers and clients during the show. Few copies circulate on the market, especially with signed sketches!
