Description from the seller
A0000001919
The fountain pen is presented in excellent condition, maintaining intact its elegant presence and commemorative character. The body and cap, with a gold finish and ornamental engravings inspired by classical motifs, preserve a uniform shine and a sharp definition of all decorative motifs, with no losses of gold or visible significant wear.
The engravings feature well-defined reliefs, with no flattening or signs of erosion, indicating very limited use or mainly as a collectible. No dents, dings, or structural deformations are observable in any part of the pen.
The gold clip is correctly aligned, firm and without play, preserving its original shape. The central band engraved “AURORA” remains clearly and deeply legible, with no wear from friction.
The 18-carat solid gold nib is in excellent condition, with a well-aligned tip and no deformations. It shows no signs of excessive pressure or microcracks, guaranteeing optimal writing performance. The feed is clean and well preserved (ink operation not tested).
Overall, this is a very well-preserved piece, suitable for demanding collectors as well as for those seeking a high-level writing pen with strong artistic and historical value, representative of Aurora’s Italian tradition and the homage to Giuseppe Verdi.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper conservation.
