Kollmar & Jourdan - Pforzheim.
In 1885, in Pforzheim (Germany), Emil Kollmar and Willem Jourdan founded a workshop for bijouterie jewelry. By the end of 1890 they had grown into one of the world’s largest manufacturers of v.n. doublé jewelry. They participated in the Paris Universal Exposition in 1900 and won a gold medal there with their designs.
After the war they produced abstract and modernist jewelry, of which this pendant is a beautiful example! The firm unfortunately closed its doors in 1970; their jewelry is now highly collectible!
