Antique art nouveau German chrome-plated folding letter holder—circa 1900s The letter holder is made of metal with a chrome-plated polished finish It is antique and was made in Germany circa 1900s (see pictures) The letter holder can folded down for easy storage and folds out to reveal two slots and there is a hidden inkwell which has a flip-up cover Overall it is in good condition for its age but does show visible signs of ageing and wear, particularly to the underside of the inkwell flap cover The letter holder closed measures 14.7 cm x 13 cm x 4 cm (depth) and fully opened, it measures 14.7 cm x 13 cm x 13 cm (depth) The inkwell measures 3 cm (diameter) and the details on the base are stamped "D.R.G.M. 237670 / Ges. Gesch"
