Max Kreijn Bangkok, a limited edition silkscreen from 1990, 75 x 75 cm, hand-signed, in good condition, produced in the Netherlands and sold by Galerie.
Description from the seller
In Bangkok, a ceramic pot lies on the ground, partly wrapped in newspaper. The everyday material contrasts with the fragile ceramic. The many shadows create depth and a calm, almost mysterious atmosphere, giving the simple object extra attention.
After several years of studying architecture at the Eindhoven University of Technology, Kreyn continued his studies in Monumental Art at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. Subsequently he took courses under the guidance of, among others, R.B. Kitaj and David Hockney at the Royal College of Art in London. After completing his studies, he first moved to the island of Ibiza and then to Assisi and Florence, where he devoted himself intensely to painting. For more than forty years the artist lived and worked in various countries, including Italy, Spain, Great Britain, Portugal, Thailand, Argentina, and Australia. This international background and broad artistic training are reflected in his work, in which architecture, atmosphere, and personal experience come together.
Dimensions: 75 x 75 cm
Viewings are of course possible. In addition, we have our own in-house frame-making workshop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary year. Furthermore, we use restorers from the industry association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to make use of this, we would of course be happy to hear from you.
