This chessboard is part of the “Scacchi al dente” series and is entirely handcrafted in plaster.

The base and the pieces are created through artisanal work that deliberately leaves visible small irregularities, marks of the manual process and the uniqueness of the piece.

The pieces, inspired by pasta shapes, reinterpret the classical language of chess in a playful and contemporary way. The bright yellow recalls simple, everyday material, while the contrast with the red and white chessboard creates a balance between play, design and sculpture.

More than a functional object, the chessboard presents itself as an artistic work: an invitation to rethink the rules, transforming strategy into a light and convivial gesture.
