Collection of 8 Antique Walking Sticks with a Barley Twist Rack - Silver, Brass and Fine Woods - 19th/20th Century

1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Exclusive lot consisting of 8 authentic walking sticks (not replicas) and a 9-hole displaying rack in solid wood. The collection has been curated to offer a variety of styles, from Alpine trekking to the early 1900s Dandy elegance. Materials include silver, solid brass, noble woods, and commemorative metal caps.

2. COLLECTION DETAIL

The Stand (La Bastoniera): Elegant central-column support with Barley Twist work. Beech or mahogany wood. Stable and in excellent preserved condition. Height about 75-80 cm.
Strong Piece (The Formal): Stick with a raised-silver domed knob with floral motifs. Dark wood shaft (ebony/mahogany). Excellent patina of the time.
Animalier Series (3 pieces): Three sticks with figurative handles in solid brass depicting respectively an eagle head, a sighthound/hunting dog head, and a horse head.
The Historic (The Hiker): Rustic stick adorned with numerous Stocknagel enamel caps, testimony to summits and shelters reached between the 1940s and 1960s.
The Classics (3 pieces): One stick with Derby-style metal handle inscribed, a model with a beak-shaped handle in Liberty brass, and an elegant nautical stick with reinforcing collar.

3. CONDITION

Original vintage items. They show the usual wear consistent with age (patina on metals, small signs of use on the woods), which certifies their authenticity. All sticks are structurally intact and the handles are secure.
