Description from the seller
Set of 6 original Planell glassware champagne flutes (Barcelona) in the shape of a flute, made of colorless (transparent) glass, crafted by hand in the mid-20th century by glassblowing. The stem features an intricate intertwined twisted design achieved by twisting the hot stem; the base is round and smooth. The proportions and the verticality typical of the flute and a stem with a prominent braided motif give it a beauty and originality, with signs of manual manufacture.
Measurements: 21 cm total height and 3.5 cm mouth diameter and 6 cm base.
Ideal for collectors and decoration.
The Cristalerías Planell company was founded by Leopoldo Planell i Porqueras in 1913 in Barcelona, in the Les Corts neighborhood, influencing the growth of the district. It manufactured a wide variety of glass objects, such as vases, goblets, glasses and vanity sets, and even lamps that were exported to America. Over time, it became one of the most important artistic glass factories in Europe, until it closed in 1957, four years after the founder's death.
