Description from the seller

Original flag of the Belgian Para-Commandos, featuring the classic emblem with the winged dagger and parachute and the Belgian tricolor. Made in the 1960s.

The Belgian Para-Commandos are Belgium's elite airborne forces. The unit was founded in 1952 and originated from paratroopers and commando units with roots in World War II.

They are recognizable by their burgundy beret and the emblem with a winged dagger and parachute. Para-Commandos specialize in rapid interventions, parachute jumps, and operations behind enemy lines. They have been deployed worldwide, including in Congo, Rwanda, the Balkans, and Afghanistan.

The flag is in good used condition

This flag is scarce because it was made exclusively for internal use within this military unit. Such flags were produced in small batches for ceremonies, parades, commemorations, or use inside the barracks. After units were disbanded, they tended to remain in military collections or with veterans, making them rarely appear on the open market.

Dimensions: 79 x 133 cm
