Set of four vintage French crystal and silver-plated vanity bottles dating to the 1940s–1950s, with dimensions 12 cm high, 8 cm wide and 6 cm deep, in good condition.
Description from the seller
Antique dressing-table set made in France in the mid-20th century.
It consists of four pieces of glassware and metalwork, including two rectangular glass bottles with screw-on metal caps, a faceted jar with a lid, and a perfume bottle in the shape of a spherical metal ampoule with a lid.
The morphology of the containers combines geometric lines in the larger vessels, and the small jar features a polygonal-based body that maximizes shine. The metal container presents ornamental circular engravings and a chain for carrying. One bears the manufacturer's mark "Janvier" Paris, dépôt.
Originally used to contain perfumes, oils, salts, or ointments, these bottles were part of refined personal grooming. Today, for collectors, they function as ornamental pieces in display cases or on dressers. They can be reused in spaces seeking an authentic vintage aesthetic rich in history.
►Dimensions: 12 cm, 8 cm and 6 cm
►Period: 1940s
►Style: Classic
►Place of origin: France
