This finely hand-carved wooden relief panel was created in Bali, Indonesia in the late 20th century, depicting a dynamic scene inspired by Hindu epics such as the Ramayana or Mahabharata.
Two mythological figures are intricately carved in deep relief, surrounded by stylised tropical foliage, flowers, and trees. The natural grain and warm brown tones of the wood enhance the layered depth and sculptural quality of the composition, making it a representative example of traditional Balinese craftsmanship. A metal hook is attached to the reverse for wall mounting.
Fair to good used condition. Please note that there is a large crack to the lower right corner extending through to the back. Small age-related cracks are present in places. There are also minor whitish areas, likely dust accumulation or natural wood discolouration. Please refer to the photos for details.
