Bleak House by Charles Dickens, first edition published in 1853 in London by Bradbury and Evans, bound in half leather with marbled boards and gilt spine, 624 pages plus frontispiece and engraved title with 40 plates including ten dark plates, age-toned with spots and browning and with wear to the exterior and an inner joint split, in fair condition.

Half leather binding with marbled boards and gilt title and decorations to spine. All edges marbled. Wear to exterior as shown with some marks and scuffs. Inner joint splitting, as shown. With first edition text errors: Page 19, Line 6: "elgble", Page 209, Line 23: "chair", and Page 275, Line 22: "counsinship". Pages are complete with a total of 40 plates, including the frontispeice and additional engraved title. Also includes ten 'dark plates'. Age toning, spotting and some browning throughout, mostly affecting plates, as shown, otherwise text is generally clean.
