Menorah made of heavy brass.
Israel circa 1950-1960

This is a seven-branch brass menorah.
Truly beautifully designed.
It is a traditional Jewish symbol and one of the oldest symbols of Judaism.
The candelabrum symbolizes the burning bush Moses saw on Mount Sinai.
Originally a solid gold menorah was used in the Temple in Jerusalem.
The seven branches represent the idea that Israel may be a light unto the nations and an example for other peoples. It measures 28 cm high and 24.5 cm wide. In good condition with minimal signs of use. (candle wax)
