Buddha Mudra hand, 37 cm high.
Bronze, mounted on a wooden pedestal.
Thailand, circa mid-20th century, but the hand may be older.

Antique Thai bronze Buddha hand.
Shows the Vitarka mudra, the gesture of teaching and the transmission of knowledge. An upright hand, with a lotus flower in the palm. Measures 37 cm high.
In good condition with minimal signs of use.

Originally these fragments often formed part of a larger Buddha statue.
They are mounted on black pedestals.
