Jewellery box (2) - Spelter, Silverplated

Set of two jewelry boxes:

Old jeweller's display case in silver-plated finish, Napoleon III era.
Old box dating from the late 19th - early 20th century (Napoleon III era).
Structure in silver-plated metal now covered with a gilded patina.
Interior in red velvet with central cushion and mirror in the lid.

This type of display case was used in jewelry shops for presenting a pocket watch, a brooch, or a bracelet.
Authentic item, ideal for collection, decoration, or display of an antique watch.

Good overall condition, mirror present, hinge functional, signs of use and normal wear due to time; see photos as part of the description.

Elegant jewelry box / sugar box from the Napoleon III era, late 19th century (c. 1880 - 1900), in the Louis XV Rococo style.

Box resting on four curved feet, made of régule (tin alloy) molded and richly decorated on all faces with foliate cartouches, a grid-like base, and Rocaille reserves.
The lid features a beautiful gallant scene inspired by the 18th century, depicting an aristocratic interior with figures around a table, including a lady playing the harp.

Interior lined with old red velvet.
Original hinge, closure functional with a slight play due to age and the materials.

Very nice display or collection piece, typical of bourgeois objects from the Second Empire.

Good overall condition, beautiful antique patina, normal signs of wear, with no structural damage or restoration.
