Two Complete Sets of Unused Globe Gores – Netherlands, 1964
A rare and highly decorative lot of two complete sets of original globe gores, dating from 1964 and produced by the Eerste Nederlandsche Globe Industrie, Zwolle, The Netherlands.
Each set consists of 12 chromolithographed paper gores and the original polar calottes, originally intended for the production of terrestrial globes. These specific gores were never used and remain in excellent, unused condition, which is exceptionally rare.

• Larger set gores: approx. 47 × 9 cm
• Smaller set gores: approx. 36 × 7 cm

• Complete with original polar calottes

Cartouche on the gores:
Eerste Nederlandsche Globe Industrie, Zwolle, Holland – TL-Globe – Scale 1:50,000,000 – Published 1964 – Mapwork: Kümmerly & Frey, Bern
The cartography was executed by the renowned Swiss mapmakers Kümmerly & Frey, adding further authority and historical interest to this lot.
