Description
Set of three porcelain plates from the famous German manufacturer Meissen.
The plates are decorated with the iconic Zwiebelmuster (Blue Onion) pattern, executed in cobalt blue under glaze. This traditional decoration, created in the 18th century, draws inspiration from blue-and-white Chinese porcelains and features stylized floral motifs and fruits.
The finesse of the porcelain and the quality of the decoration testify to the historic know-how of the Meissen porcelain works, founded in 1710 and recognized as the first European hard-paste porcelain manufacturer.
