Description from the seller
Beautiful low-quality silver bracelet
Weight: 179.81 g
Height: 3.5 cm
Maximum width: 6.8 cm
Traditional bracelet from the Tuareg-Berber area of Fezzan, made of low-alloy silver with a wide, solid band. The surface is decorated with oblique engravings featuring geometric star motifs and linear hatchings, elements typical of Saharan jewelry, often associated with protective symbolism as well as ornament.
Datable to around the middle of the 20th century, it was used as personal adornment and, in nomadic contexts, could also serve as a small informal trade good.
It displays a beautiful antique patina consistent with its age and use. Traces of wear and natural oxidation inside the engravings are visible, enhancing its authenticity and character.
