Ezquerra, Carlos - 1 Original page - Durham Red - Freeze! - 1992

This is a stunning page of Durham Red drawn and coloured by the fantastic Carlos Ezquerra, the artist who first drew Judge Dredd. This page is from the classic science fiction comic 2000ad, Prog 773 published 7th March 1992. In this page of 'Island of the Damned', Durham Red (known as The Strontium Bitch) has captured her captor and is holding him hostage in an attempt to flee the Island. This page has superb colours throughout. This entire full bleed colour page is painted in brush, pen and ink and airbrush creating a beautiful almost dream-like vista... the shadows and highlights make the artwork seem to pop off the page. The page features the official square 2000ad rubber stamp on the reverse, which details the prog (issue number) and date published. The page also has the original acetate sheet containing the speech bubbles. Carlos Ezquerra co-created Judge Dredd and is a legend in the comic art world. Please note that any import duties or taxes are the responsibility of the winning bidder. Thank You
