Description from the seller
French Art Deco Pendant Lamp – Geometric Frosted Glass – ca. 1930
Description
Elegant French Art Deco pendant lamp dating from the early 1930s.
The shade is executed in thick moulded frosted glass featuring a strong geometric composition typical of the Art Deco period. The design combines stylised fan motifs, stepped diamond elements and radiating linear patterns arranged in a symmetrical rosette layout.
The satin-frosted surface creates a soft, diffused light when illuminated, highlighting the depth of the relief decoration. The bowl has a scalloped lower edge and a central stepped finial detail.
The lamp is suspended by period-style chains with a brass ceiling canopy. The mounting appears later but remains aesthetically consistent with the design.
Unsigned example.
