Incredible historical set принадлежering to Marshal of the Italian Navy Umberto Mastromini. The lot represents a complete biographical testimony, documented in a unique way through service relics and high-value personal items.
1. The Historical Piece: Solino "Diario di Bordo" Nave Amerigo Vespucci
The true heart of the collection, this standard-issue solino contains inside a meticulously autographed diary of the summer cruises conducted on the training ship Amerigo Vespucci between 1956 and 1959. The world stops are listed, including London, Dublin, Casablanca, Gibraltar and Lisbon, as well as enlistment (Venice 1955) and discharge (Taranto 1962).
2. Professional Optics: Carl Zeiss Jena 7x50 Binoculars
Military binoculars from the wartime era (D.F. Dienstglas) with serial number 2135502.
Conditions: The instrument shows external wear consistent with sea use. An internal hazing/oxidation in the left lens is noted and requires professional cleaning. Original and intact mechanics.
3. Uniform and Rank Insignia:
Berretti: Includes the summer rigid cap (size 57) with the canotaggio badge and the black round cap ("pizza").
Ranks and Ribbons: Original ribbon "Nave Margottini", a pair of shoulder boards for a Marshal and a set of 9 ordnance stars.
Accessories: Black bow tie and a white braided cord for the whistle.
