Kerosene lamp - Cast brass - oil lamp

an antique French oil lamp (also called a petroleum lamp), which probably dates from the late 19th century or the early 20th century. Such lamps are often made in styles such as Art Nouveau or the Napoleon III style.
The lamp is composed of several high-quality materials typical of that period:
Reservoir: The central glass reservoir is decorated with hand-painted floral motifs.
Base: The lamp stands on a base of gilded bronze or copper, often paired with a shaft of marble or porcelain.
Burner: The upper section contains a metal burner, possibly of the Matador type, which was a common brand for this kind of high-quality lamps.
The long, slender glass tube on top serves to protect the flame and to promote draft for combustion.
