Egyptian 925 sterling silver reversible scarab ring titled "Natural agate scarab ring", weighing 3 g with ring size 54 EU / 14 IT / 6¾ US, featuring a hand-carved natural agate scarab face that shifts from deep grey to pale purple under different lighting, dimensions about 1.7 cm high by 1.2 cm wide, in fair condition.
Description from the seller
This is a 925 sterling silver reversible natural agate scarab beetle ring. Material and rare color change: The ring face is a hand-carved scarab beetle from natural agate. Under natural light, it appears a deep, sophisticated gray, while under artificial light/warm light, it reveals an elegant pale purple hue (this is an optical effect of natural agate containing trace elements such as manganese, a rare "two-tone effect," far superior to ordinary single-color agate). It has a substantial thickness and feels weighty on the wrist. The inside of the ring band bears the 925 sterling silver mark. Carving and reversible structure: The scarab beetle's elytra texture, head outline, and shield-shaped patterns are clear and antique, replicating the classic form of ancient Egyptian scarab amulets; the ring face features a reversible design (Swivel). (Bezel) This design allows you to display the scarab carving on the front or turn it back for a simple, plain look.
Cultural Significance: In ancient Egypt, the scarab was a symbol of the sun god Khepri, representing rebirth, immortality, protection, and good fortune. It was the most central and widely used amulet motif in ancient Egypt, often used in royal and noble burials or for everyday wear.
Dimensions: Approximately 1.7cm high × 1.2cm wide, suitable for most finger sizes.
