Description from the seller
Cut crystal vase, Val Saint Lambert Crystal Works, Belgium, likely 1950s.
Cylindrical slightly flared form with massive circular base, deep cut decoration featuring intersecting diamond / hobstar motifs and multiple prismatic facets creating an intense light refraction typical of Belgian crystal from this era.
Original Val Saint Lambert label present (oval metal medallion affixed to one facet).
Rare and subtle colour, difficult to capture accurately in photographs: iridescent shift from violet-smoked grey to metallic grey with bronze/golden bronze reflections depending on lighting – a sophisticated and uncommon shade in Val Saint Lambert production.
Condition: good overall for a piece of this age and weight; one small internal chip (not visible from the exterior, within the thickness of the crystal), some internal limescale traces (typical of uncleaned vintage vases), no cracks, no rim or base chips.
Dimensions: height 22.5 cm – maximum diameter 16 cm.
Weight: approximately 4 kg (very heavy and substantial piece).
Provenance: private Belgian collection, carefully preserved for several decades.
Secure shipping.
