Art Deco Bohemian glass rose bowl dating from about 1920–1935, made of glass with a metal grille, measuring 15.3 cm high, 18.5 cm in diameter and weighing 792 g.
Description from the seller
Magnificent Art Deco rose bowl – Bohemian/Czech glass – ca. 1920–1935
A particularly decorative and stylish object from the interwar period: this elegant rose bowl (rozenkom) of Bohemian/Czech glass is a true eye-catcher in any interior. The combination of the warm, marbled glass and the refined metal grill makes this piece a characteristic example of the Art Deco period.
The bowl is made of thick, high-quality glass with a flowing, organic pattern in warm tones of yellow, amber and deep black. The colors blend beautifully and give the whole a lively, almost abstract character. The glass has a beautiful sheen and depth, which ensures a luxurious appearance.
On top there is a decorative metal rim with openwork floral motif and a geometric grill. This grill was used to position flower stems – especially roses – firmly and evenly. This allowed small bouquets to be arranged stylishly without the flowers falling apart. The metal element forms a lovely contrast with the soft linework of the glass.
Dimensions:
Height: 15.3 cm
Diameter/width/depth: 18.5 cm
Weight: 792 grams
Thanks to its compact, harmonious shape and strong color scheme, this rose bowl fits perfectly in both classic and modern interiors. Gorgeous on a sideboard, coffee table, or windowsill – with flowers, but also certainly as an independent work of art.
Origin: Bohemia (the present-day Czech Republic)
Style: Art Deco
Estimated period: circa 1920–1935
Material: Glass in combination with a metal grill
A atmospheric and authentic collectible for lovers of Art Deco glassware and a particularly decorative piece with historical charm.
