Omega Constellation, reference 166.0220, 1974, stainless steel 39 mm automatic with silver dial, movement calibre 1012, in New Old Stock unpolished condition, with original box and leather strap.
Description from the seller
New Old Stock – Unpolished – Original Box
An incredibly rare highly preserved unworn Omega Constellation from 1974, reference 166.0220, kept in dry, stable storage for 52 years. Quite possibly the last one in existence.
This example remains in completely original, unworn New Old Stock condition. All factory stickers remain intact.
Accompanied by its original Omega presentation box.
Specifications
Stainless steel case
Diameter: 39 mm (diagonally)
Lug to lug: 42 mm
Thickness: 9 mm
Automatic movement – Omega calibre 1012
Quickset date function (fully operational)
Condition
Original untouched dial
No spotting, discoloration, or patina
Original hands and lume in excellent condition
Case sharp with defined edges
Movement running well
Quickset date functioning correctly
As the watch has never been serviced due to its preserved state, exact timekeeping accuracy (seconds per day) has not been formally tested.
If the buyer intends to wear the watch regularly and remove the original seals, a simple service (cleaning/oiling of the movement and replacement of the gasket) is recommended. This advice was provided by an Omega-certified watchmaker in the Netherlands.
Alternatively, it may be preserved in its current untouched state as a rare 1970s New Old Stock Constellation.
Examples in this level of preservation are very rarely found.
