Helmut Gerigk, born 1953, here 22 original acrylic artworks by the German artist, also called the German Dalí, in a hand-signed portfolio. Here you can clearly see, with every brushstroke, the closeness to Salvador Dalí. The artist Helmut Gerigk was born on March 14, 1953 in Wiesbaden, as the son of government director Walter Gerigk. His artistic talent already showed itself in elementary school. Gerigk attended the Wiesbaden Free Art School under Professor Becker. Gerigk was a co-founder of the street festival “Theatrium.” Gerigk often visited his friend Salvador Dalí in Port Lligat / at his house. Gerigk is a laureate of the Salvador Dalí Award and an honorary member of the Künstlergilde St. Lukas of Antwerp. Gerigk’s artworks are distributed worldwide and he has had over 100 exhibitions worldwide.
Style: Gerigk’s painting style represents classical surrealism and is often described as the successor to Salvador Dalí. His works are characterized by surreal, dream-like motifs that often pay homage to Dalí.
Influences: Helmut Gerigk was a good friend of Salvador Dalí, whom he frequently visited in Cadaqués from 1974 to 1979, also often visiting Dalí at his Paris studio. These encounters awakened his passion, visions, and dreams to paint fantastical images.
