From a young age he achieved international recognition for his distinctive style, characterized by strong outlines, angular forms, and a deliberately restrained palette.
In addition to painting, graphic art, especially lithography, occupied a significant place in his work. It enabled Buffet to execute his linear visual language with precision and contributed substantially to the dissemination of his oeuvre.
His works often reflect themes such as urban landscapes, still lifes, and existential moods, and they still have a firm place in the international art market today.
