Conklin Toledo fountain pen made of celluloid, from the first half of the 20th century in the United States, with a lever filling system, 12.5 cm long and 1.1 cm in diameter, in good used condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
A0000003637
The pen is presented in very good overall condition, showing a clean, well-maintained aesthetic. The body and cap are made of marmoled acrylic resin in black and amber tones, with a visually attractive pattern that remains bright and well defined. The surface retains an excellent shine and only shows light signs of use typical of a piece that has been handled normally, with no cracks, breaks, or deformations.
The metal elements with a gold finish — clip, rings and decorative details — are in very good condition, maintaining a uniform tone and an elegant aesthetic presence. The clip preserves the engraving “PAT. NOV. 12. 1925,” clearly legible and with very good relief.
The lever-fill mechanism operates correctly, smoothly and firmly actuating the filling system, maintaining the characteristic functionality of this classic loading system.
The thread between the body and the cap is in good condition, ensuring a precise closure.
The nib, engraved “Conklin Toledo,” is well preserved, with no deformation or visible structural damage. It maintains its correct alignment and a clean appearance, showing only the micro-scratches typical of very moderate use.
The fountain pen has been inspected and is delivered in full working order and ready to write.
Overall, this is a very well-preserved example that retains the classic character and vintage aesthetics typical of Conklin fountain pens.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
Happy bidding!
