Rare tobacco tin from the early 1800s with a prediction on it of the coming modern era, “modern prophecy.” It features an engraving of a kind of steam engine that can fly, on which a little man sits. It goes wrong and the flying machine loses a wing. The little man shouts “help help.” Accompanying it is a percussion cap tin (an early lighter) with a steam train and a steamboat with gears.
