Description from the seller
“Maruzza Musumeci”, published in 2007 by Sellerio Editore, is a fascinating work by Andrea Camilleri, one of the most beloved and internationally renowned Italian writers, best known for creating the famous inspector Salvo Montalbano. The copy offered here has a particularly important feature for collectors: it bears the original autograph of Andrea Camilleri, clearly signed by the author inside the book. The presence of the author’s signature makes this volume especially desirable for collectors and admirers of Camilleri’s literary work.
The book comes from my private collection and belongs to a group of volumes personally signed by Andrea Camilleri that I have collected over time. This specific copy was purchased from a collector as part of a lot of signed books. In order to document and support the collecting context from which the book originates, photographs of the collection will also be included, providing a broader view of the bibliophile environment in which the volume has been preserved.
“Maruzza Musumeci” is one of the most evocative novels in Camilleri’s production and belongs to the so-called trilogy of metamorphoses, blending Mediterranean myth, folklore and the author’s remarkable storytelling ability. Although it is different from the investigations of the famous Inspector Montalbano, the novel fully reflects Camilleri’s unmistakable style, his irony, the musicality of his language and the deep connection with Sicilian culture that characterizes his entire literary output.
The book is in excellent condition. It has been carefully preserved within the collection and remains very appealing both for reading and for display in a distinguished personal library. The author’s autograph naturally represents the most significant aspect of this item, making it an attractive piece for collectors of signed books and contemporary Italian literature.
Shipping will be handled with great care and professionalism. The book will be carefully packaged to ensure maximum protection during transport and will be sent with tracked shipping for complete security until delivery.
