Description from the seller

Pair of large bronze candlesticks in Louis XV style - 19th century.

Beautiful pair of antique candlesticks in solid bronze, made in the spirit of Louis XV style, dating from the late 19th century.

These elegant candlesticks feature a stable hexagonal base resting on a molded plinth. The shaft is finely turned and faceted, rhythmically differentiated by successive moldings typical of classical decorative vocabulary inspired by the 18th century.
The whole is topped by a flared bobeche intended to receive candles.

The bronze has a beautiful polished finish with a natural patina acquired over time, highlighting the quality of the metal and the volumes of the turning. The hexagonal base provides excellent stability and enhances the elegance of the silhouette.

The underside shows natural oxidation characteristic of old bronze, attesting to the authenticity and age of these pieces.

These candlesticks fit perfectly into a classic interior, on a table, a console, or a fireplace.
Beautiful decorative and elegant pair, ideal for collectors or lovers of antique objects.

Very good overall condition with slight signs of time consistent with age.
