Pilgrims Bottle with Cherub - Flask - Earthenware

Destined for pilgrimages, earthenware bottles like the one presented in photos were usually used for carrying holy water in religious journeys, but could have been used in other instances too for storing other liquids also. Ceramic and glass pilgrims flasks were progressively created untill 15-16th century and more intensely after. Inspired by rennaissance-style this vintage example is handpainted in blue and yellow with a cherub, or putto in italian, a winged child character holding two wreaths and its backside is ornamented with a flower on a small piece of earth painting. Condition of the item is excellent without any damages. The detailed photos are part of the description and can be used as an accurate reference.
