Franco Francese (Milan 1920 – 1996) an important Italian Impressionist and Realist painter, draftsman and etcher / often highlighted themes such as solitude, love, death, and the realism of his times / awarded several times at the Venice Biennale (a solo room in 1960) / art critics and literary figures such as Giovanni Testori, Dante Isella, Vittorio Sereni, and Giovanni Raboni have written about him / of eccentric character, he pursued and reevaluated the personal significance of every moment, even the sad ones / finding his works on the market is very rare; many works were lost after his death.
