Year of manufacture 1923; labelled Ettore Soffritti, 4/4 violin in wood, weight 0.5 kg, physical condition good, functional condition tested and playable.

An old master 4/4 violin labeled:
SOFFRITTI ETTORE Premiato con Gran Medaglia d'oro all'Esposizione Interazionale di Bruxelles Fece in Ferrara l'anno 1923.
Materials: very nice one piece narrow flamed maple back with matched sides, neck and scroll, high grained spruce top. Golden-amber varnish remains in good condition. Old ebony fittings, new bridge and new strings. No cracks. The violin is ready to play and features a mature, aged sound, rich in sound colors.
The total length of the violin is 593 mm, body - 355 mm. Width of the upper bout: 163 mm; middle: 110 mm; lower: 201 mm.
