Description from the seller

Large sculpture “The Three Graces” after Antonio Canova – Signed Dal Torrione – 105 cm

Magnificent monumental sculpture representing The Three Graces, created after the famous masterpiece by Antonio Canova.

This important Italian reproduction appears to be made in cast stone with remarkable finesse of execution. The anatomical details, the drapery, and the facial expressions testify to a high-quality manufacture.

The sculpture is signed “Dal Torrione” on the base and also bears the mold references 035, visibly attesting to Italian production.

Thanks to its imposing dimensions, this work constitutes a prestigious decorative piece, ideal for a classic interior, a gallery, or a characterful home.

CONDITION

Very good overall condition, particularly notable for a sculpture of this size.

The sculpture shows only:
* a very slight loss of material between two legs;
* a small craquelure in the hair of one figure;
* a discreet small chip on the lower left part of the base.

These flaws are minimal and are only noticeable upon close inspection. They do not alter the overall aesthetics of the work in any way.

No other damage, crack, or restoration has been observed.

Given its size and fragility, it is rare to find an example in such satisfactory conservation.

The photographs allow for a precise appreciation of the sculpture’s condition.
