Description from the seller
The poster presents a work by the Czech artist Vladimír Preclík (1929–2008), a renowned sculptor and writer. The image shows a series of sculptural objects enclosed in glass jars, arranged as in a display case or on a shelf.
Each jar contains an abstract or semi-figurative composition, created with geometric shapes, bold colors (red, white, black, yellow) and varied materials. The aesthetic evokes constructivism and kinetic/geometric art typical of Central Europe in the 20th century.
In the bottom left it reads "SOCHAŘSKÉ DÍLO" (Sculptural work) and "54 TÝDNŮ DOBRÉHO ROKU" (54 weeks of a good year). On the right, in large letters, the author’s name: "VLADIMÍR PRECLÍK".
The title suggests a project based on time; the "54 weeks" could refer to a series of works created weekly, where each jar represents a moment or an idea crystallized in time. The year typically has 52 weeks. The addition of "54" implies excess, a creative surplus. It could mean that the artist worked beyond the canonical time, or that the "good year" is a stretched, dilated time, expanded by his own creativity.
