Aurora fountain pen with a gold-plated finish and an 18k gold nib, model Giuseppe Verdi – Opera, of Italian origin, 137 mm in length and 14 mm in diameter, in good used condition with minor signs of age.
Description from the seller
The fountain pen is presented in excellent condition, maintaining its elegant presence and commemorative character intact. The body and cap, with a gold finish and ornamental engravings inspired by classical design, preserve a uniform shine and a sharp definition of all decorative motifs, with no loss of gold or significant visible wear.
The engravings feature well-defined reliefs, without flattening or signs of erosion, indicating very limited use or mainly as a collection piece. No dents, dings, or structural deformations are observed in any part of the pen.
The gold-plated clip is properly aligned, firm, and without play, preserving its original shape. The central ring engraved with “AURORA” remains clearly legible and deeply engraved, with no wear from friction.
The solid 18-karat gold nib is in excellent condition, with a well-aligned point and no deformations. It shows no signs of excessive pressure or micro-cracks, ensuring optimal performance in writing. The feeder is clean and well preserved (filling with ink not tested).
Overall, this is a very well-preserved piece, ideal for demanding collectors as well as for those seeking a high-level writing pen with strong artistic and historical value, representative of Aurora’s Italian tradition and of the tribute to Giuseppe Verdi.
It will be shipped in a courtesy box for proper conservation.
