Pair of Louis XVI style wall sconces in alloy with a bronze finish, dating to 1950–1960, each with four E14 bulbs and dimensions 33 × 18 × 8 cm.
Description from the seller
Pair of wall sconces in gilded bronze – Louis XVI style – 4 lights – Late 19th / early 20th century neoclassical elegance
Magnificent pair of four-light wall sconces in bronze (or solid brass) with antique gilding, in a revisited Louis XVI style from the late 19th / early 20th century.
These high-quality sconces feature a very fine and symmetrical chased decor:
Scrolls and acanthus leaves with a great deal of refinement
Central roses and vegetal garlands typical of neoclassicism
Gracefully coiled lighting arms, highly decorative and original
The antique gilding presents a warm, nuanced patina of age, with areas of shine and some natural traces of oxidation/age that give the pair a lot of character and authenticity. No aggressive recent cleaning – condition preserved and charming.
Electrical fittings (standard E14 sockets), ready to install. Sold as a perfectly symmetrical pair (straight and left models).
Dimensions (per sconce):
Total height with bulb: 33 cm
Width: 18 cm
Depth: 8 cm
An elegant and discreet wall luminaire that integrates perfectly into a classic, Haussmannian interior, or into chic, timeless decoration (living room, bedroom, hallway, staircase).
Condition: Good overall condition for antique use – gilding with age patina, light signs of use and aging visible (small wear marks on reliefs, consistent with age), no major damage or breakage visible in the photo. Electrical function to be checked by the buyer (current standards).
Characterful piece for lovers of quality antique lighting.
Careful and insured shipping, recommended in a box.
Bulbs are not included due to their fragility.
