Description from the seller
Lot of 20th-century vintage objects – old silver-plated chocolaterie with wooden handle and decorative ewer in Rococo style
Description
This lot comprises two vintage tableware decorative items from the 20th century. It consists of an old silver-plated chocolaterie with a turned wooden handle, as well as a decorative metal ewer in Rococo style. The two pieces form an elegant set that could suit a collection of antique items, a vintage interior decoration, or a display in a retro kitchen.
1. Old chocolaterie
Beautiful old chocolaterie in silver-plated metal dating probably from the mid-20th century, around the 1940s to 1960s. This type of pitcher was traditionally used to prepare hot chocolate, coffee, or hot milk directly on a stove.
The chocolaterie features a simple cylindrical shape with a tubular spout and a hinged domed lid. The turned wooden handle provides a good grip and avoids heat during use. The bottom bears a manufacture mark corresponding probably to a model number.
Approximate dimensions
Height 24 cm
Bottom diameter 13 cm
Diameter at lid level 9 cm
Length of the handle 13 cm
Condition
Good overall condition for its age. Shows normal signs of use and a light patina of time.
