Val Saint Lambert - Charles Graffart - Vase - Crystal

This is a vase in Val Saint Lambert crystal, model "Lubo" or "Hubo", in ruby-doubled clear crystal, cut with diamond-point facets and diamond shapes.
The vase is made of lead crystal with a high lead content, often exceeding the 24% regulatory limit, which gives it a particular brilliance.
The technique of doubled crystal, where a layer of colored crystal is superimposed on the clear crystal before it is cut, is a specialty of Belgian crystal-making.
The model "Lubo" was designed by Charles Graffart for the Art Deco collection in 1947.
