Description from the seller
This remarkable piece beautifully reflects the refinement and craftsmanship of early Baccarat production in the Espagnolette model. The body displays elegantly twisted vertical cuts resembling bamboo columns, creating a striking play of light and brilliance characteristic of finely hand-cut crystal from the early 19th century.
The neck is adorned with superb faceted diamond-cut rings, crisp and perfectly proportioned. The elegant flat facets and precise cutting enhance the clarity of the crystal and demonstrate the exceptional quality of execution typical of Baccarat’s early workshop.
The quality of the crystal, the precision of the cutting and the harmonious proportions strongly support the attribution to Baccarat’s early 19th-century production.
Condition: very good antique condition with light signs of age consistent with nearly 200 years of history. The lid does not originally belong. An exceptionally well-preserved example for a piece of this period.
A refined and highly desirable example of early Baccarat craftsmanship.
