Beautiful decorative Buddha statue finished with gold leaf, depicting Buddha seated in meditation on an ornate lotus throne.
The sculpture shows elegant detailing in the robes and facial expression and has a warm gilded appearance that reflects light beautifully. The figure is seated in the traditional meditation posture (Dhyana Mudra), symbolizing serenity and inner peace.
The underside bears a stamp referring to Iranian handicrafts, indicating it was distributed through a traditional handicraft export workshop. Such pieces were often produced for the international art and souvenir market.
