Description from the seller

Decorative candelabrum with a putto (cherub) holding a cornucopia or horn of plenty. The object is executed in a classical Baroque / Rococo-inspired style and is believed to date from the 1950s.

The putto sits on a rocky base and holds an elegantly curved cornucopia aloft. At the top there is a holder in which a candle can be placed, making the object both functional and decorative.

The cornucopia, also known as the horn of plenty, is a classic symbol of prosperity, abundance and good fortune and is often used in European decorative art.

The figure is made of plaster with a gilded finish, which gives the whole a warm golden appearance. The shaping of the face, the curly hair and the anatomical details of the figure contribute to a lively and decorative appearance.
This type of object was often used as interior decoration or a candelabrum in classical interiors.
