Offered for auction is an original Montblanc Meisterstück 146 fountain pen in desirable pre-serial execution.
This example has no serial number under the clip and is engraved “Germany,” placing production in the early 1990s transitional period. Pre-serial 146 models are increasingly appreciated by collectors for their classic construction and balanced design.
The pen is fitted with a 14k / 585 solid gold nib, monotone finish. Based on the tipping shape, the nib appears to be Medium (M).
The Meisterstück 146 is internationally regarded as one of the most iconic luxury fountain pens ever produced, known for its ideal size (between 144 and 149), excellent balance and reliable piston filling system.
