Posacenere porta pice Mid-Century Modern (anni '50-'60). Si tratta di un posacenere da terra combinato con un porta-pipe.
Stile "Space Age", la forma a sfera cromata e le linee sinuose ricordano l'estetica futuristica tipica del periodo della corsa allo spazio.
Materiali: Acciaio cromato lucido con dettagli in plastica o bachelite verde menta/pastello (molto popolare negli anni '50).
La sfera superiore è il posacenere. La molla circolare all'interno serve per appoggiare la sigaretta o, più specificamente in questo caso, per pulire e appoggiare la pipa.
La rastrelliera inferiore con le estremità a pomello verde è progettata per ospitare diverse pipe.

Oggetti di questo tipo venivano spesso prodotti in Italia o in Germania (aziende come Demeyere o produzioni artigianali italiane in stile Reguitti o Osvaldo Borsani). 

È in discrete condizioni con qualche segno del tempo e piccole macchie di sfioritura della cromatura. 

L'ultima immagine è puramente evocativa della funzione di questo porta pipe. Le sue misure, infatti, indicano che era da poltrona.
