Cup - Tin - Beautiful decorative chalice

Italian chalice, altar cup. 90% tin. Italy circa 1950-1960

Beautiful decorative vintage Italian tin chalice or vase, made from about 90% tin (peltrato). The piece is often marked by the stamp "Peltrato 90%" on the bottom.

Features and Origin
The chalice is richly adorned in a style reminiscent of the Renaissance or Art Nouveau. The relief decorations typically include the following elements:
Head of rams at the top.
Cherubs (playing angels or children) in the middle.
Decorative scrolls and floral motifs, garlands.

Height: approximately 23 cm.
Weight: about 870 to 900 grams.
Material: Mainly tin, sometimes with a gold-colored or bronze finish or patina.

Condition: in good condition, of course with signs of use and wear.
