Paper - Tibet - mid-18th century

Sacred Tibetan scripture on local textile-pulp paper. This ancient document is written in an Abugida script of Brahmic origin; they were temple sacred texts. Well preserved and written on both sides.
(The two metal discs at each end are weights to hold the document stretched for photographing. It has not been damaged in the process. They are not included).
