Zorki-2С Mysterious Transitional Version (1957-1958)

My opinion is that this is a transitional model from the Zorki-2S "Festival" variant to the new model without engraving, as the camera itself is from 1957, but the lens is from 1958, and the sales receipt indicates February 1958. In my opinion, it's worth digging deeper and searching the history on the KMZ factory website itself, as there are discrepancies with the official opinions of vintage camera experts.

Functionality: The lens is functional – the lens is clean, but there is a small darkening on the rear lens element in the form of an oil stain (1-1.5mm). Focusing and aperture operation are smooth and easy. The viewfinder and rangefinder are clean, and visibility is good. The aperture blades are dry, without excess lubrication. The shutter operates perfectly across the entire shutter speed range. The self-timer lever operates, but the shutter does not release (requires inspection by a specialist). The sync contact has not been tested for functionality due to the lack of a flash. You can form your own opinion about the rarity, antique, and collectible value of this camera based on the recent screenshots from the catalogs of leading experts in the world of antique cameras.
