From June 18 to July 3, 2016, Lake Iseo rose to prominence thanks to the artist Christo, who allowed people to walk on the waters from Pilzone to Monte Isola. In those few days more than 1,500,000 people climbed the floating piers, which were covered by 100,000 square meters of the same original yellow fabric (today supplied with the print) and supported by a system of modular piers made from 220,000 high-density polyethylene cubes forming a floating walkway on the water’s surface.
